Our Western Wisconsin client is in need of an Industrial Electrician.  They will use problem-solving skills to reduce downtime, address and resolve immediate equipment issues, and work to improve equipment reliability. The individual will primarily focus on electrical, instrument and control teams and systems, as well as provide some mechanical support and training of existing maintenance personnel.

  • Ability to troubleshoot, test and repair an array of electrical and mechanical sensors used in automated machinery.
  • Troubleshoots integrally related hydraulic, mechanical and electronic control systems to isolate malfunctions in electronic controls and servo systems including computer numerical controls, programmable controllers, mini-computers, micro-processors, boiler controls and other industrial controls and amplifiers.
  • Working knowledge of industrial high and low voltage electronics, single and three-phase power systems, including motors, switches, relays and contractors.
  • Industrial electronics technicians will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic systems and equipment used in industrial manufacturing.
  • In addition to maintaining the electronic systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs), technicians work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems in factories, checking for loose connections and defective components on electronic control systems and mechanical equipment.
  • To fix a problem, technicians may conduct and evaluate computer diagnostic tests or attempt to reproduce the problem on a PLC test system.
  • A technical degree in the trades or engineering technical area is required.
  • BS degree or completion of equivalent Electrical apprenticeship program is preferred.
  • Licensed electrician in the state of Wisconsin is preferred.
  • 5 + years of working in a manufacturing or process environment in automotive high volume manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Any Kaizen/Continuous Improvement experience is preferred.
